My name is Nick Gore, owner and founder of Gore’s Core Fitness, and my love for personal training started with a lot of pain. I suffered a lower back injury while wrestling in college and then underwent surgery for two herniated discs (L4-L5 and L5-S1). Once I recovered, I dedicated myself to learning as much as possible about strengthening my core and making sure I stayed healthy and pain free. My passion turned into a career – I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from San Francisco State University and spent 7 years as a personal trainer in SF before moving to NYC in 2013.
Now, my goal is to teach and coach others in physical fitness. My techniques and background can help you on an individual basis in fitness, health and overall well-being. I specialize in strength, resistance and endurance training, weight loss or weight management, toning through lean muscle burning and building, core stability and strengthening, and of course, lower back pain.
My background and enthusiasm sets me apart from other personal trainers. I coach everyone in a personal way, catering our sessions to your fitness goals. I insist on individual training sessions so that I can truly consider your lifestyle needs, diet, health and stress conditions. I am also constantly learning and keeping up to date on health and fitness trends.
I want to make fitness fun. I will motivate you to go beyond what you think is possible. I train out of professional gyms throughout New York City, with numerous locations and a flexible schedule. I am also able to train outdoors, inside your own home, or any other location that suits you. Bottom line, I am here to help you with whatever you decide to achieve!
